It seems to be becoming a pattern that I post every other day doesn’t it? I decided not to post yesterday because things were quite uneventful. I woke up with a migraine and stayed in. I did get the chance to have a good talk with Mom and Dad though.
Marisa arrived yesterday from Puebla, so we just stayed in and chilled. I worked on looking up the definitions of the words I wrote down this week from my readings. I also worked some more on my fiction. One piece is up to 3,200 words.
Today we went to the mall looking for shoes for Marisa. We went to every shoe store in the mall and she found 4 pairs of shoes and a pair of jeans. We were there for several hours.
When we got back, I started working on The Art of Character again and went through some of the exercises. Corbett’s approach is deeply self-reflective. He gives a list of 26 different people that we know: a family member to whom you feel particularly close, a stranger whose path crossed yours this past week, a person you fear, a person you admire, greatest childhood nemesis, greatest adulthood nemesis, etc. and to remember details about them and the effect they had on you and memorable events with them.
That’s all for now. Until next time!
