16 February 2017

There was still major construction going on in the apartment building so I spent the day working at Yo and Saniego’s apartment.

17 February 2017

Stayed over at Yo and Saniego’s place at Marisa’s request. We went out on Friday night to celebrate one of their friend’s birthdays. We first went to a bar that had a luchador theme that had a terrible cover band playing live. We then moved to a bar that had a vikings theme, like the historical vikings. They served their drinks in big wooden mugs. It was amusing to say the least.

18 February 2017

Yo and I got our hair cut and then went walking to a couple different galleries. We also got to walk through the Bosque de Chapultepec (a very large and beautiful forest, that has a zoo and botanic gardens). We were going to go to an event at the Tamayo museum, but it didn’t end up working out. So Yo and I headed back to the apartment and we made dinner and watched a movie.

19 February 2017

Yo, Saniego, and I headed south for a leather market to look for shoes for Saniego. On the way we found a cat festival, No joke, a festival dedicated to celebrate cats. It made my day. The irony was that you know cats would hate to be there in a loud place with a lot of people. That’s what I love about Mexico, you just never know what you might find here. In the vicinity of one park, there were three different types of markets.

20 and 21 February 2017

These were work days, but I did have breakfast with Yo at one of our favorite cafes, Passmar and then we went to the civil building to pick up my residence card! I’m an official resident of Mexico City now!
