Yesterday, I completely forgot to post! Yolanda and I met up so that we could spend the morning together. First we went to a government registry office to get my CURP which is an ID number that is used for taxes here. Once I get my Voter Card then I will be ready to work here at any point!

We then ventured to the Mexican World Trade Center near what’s called the Polyforum Siqueiros which has enormous murals on the walls. We had to stop there at a location for Yolanda’s internet provider. We then went to an indoor market and enjoyed a nice lunch and walked around. There’s a cafe in the market called Paasmar which is one of Yolanda’s favorite places.

Then I came back to the noisy apartment from the construction above. I had to show them the light fixtures that were slightly falling out of the ceiling from the pounding on the floor from the construction.

They told me they would come today and fix them, so I stayed in most of the day waiting for them to come and they never did. But I did get some work done, despite the distracting noise. I wrote about 1,000 words on a fiction idea that I started a couple years ago and I got to draw a bit.

I finally got fed up with waiting that I went on a walk and stopped by the store. It’s amazing having three different grocery stores within a few blocks distance.
